crazy like a fox

A local arctic fox, which I have described in a previous post and whom I have now seen several times on my walk to school, decided on Friday that she or he was feeling adventurous and wandered into the schoolyard around 10:30 in the morning. The photo was taken with the school's somewhat inadequate digital camera, so please forgive its quality.

Sadly, rabies is not unknown up here. Hopefully, this fox's gregariousness is due to its accustomation to humans, which while still problematic, is preferable to the alternative.
